Blindgrade: practise trading on hidden charts
What it is, why blind, the rules, the mentor, free and Pro, and how to reach us.
Updated 18 Oct 2026
Blindgrade is chart replay practice with the ticker and dates taken off. Pull a hidden chart of real price history, trade it with paper money as the candles play out, and get graded on what you did: entry, size, where the stop went. Then the reveal shows what the chart was. A free account gets 15 practice rounds a week.
The free way in is the daily: one real chart a day, ticker and dates hidden, the same for everyone. You read about 80 candles on screen, and five days more if you scroll back, then trade the next 28 as they play out, with a $1,000 balance, stops, targets and a 0.1% fee on every fill. When the round ends you get graded, and the reveal shows what the chart was. Free, in the browser, no install.
Why blind
On a chart you recognise, you already know what happened. Hide the ticker and the date, and the only thing left to trade is what is on the screen. Everyone gets the same chart on the same day, so a score means the same thing for everyone.
The rules, in plain words
- Market orders fill at the latest candle's close.
- Limit orders, stops and take-profits fill when a candle touches their price. If a candle opens past the price, the order fills at the open: better for a limit or target, worse for a stop, as in a real market.
- If a stop and a target are both touched inside one candle, the stop fills first, unless the candle opened through the target.
- Every fill pays 0.1% of the position's size.
- These rules never change.
Free and Pro
The daily is free forever and needs no account. With a free account you also get 15 practice rounds a week on random charts. Pro is $79 a year (current offer): unlimited practice, every round's review and replay kept forever, the live AI mentor on every practice round (free accounts get 3 coached rounds a week), and the full analytics (capture, regime, expectancy, how often your stop sat inside the noise).
Live AI mentor
Turn the mentor on in practice and it watches you trade the replay. When you make a habit-level mistake, such as a naked entry after a spike or a stop placed under no structure, the engine marks it on the chart and the mentor says one line about it while the candles are still playing. It asks what you saw, sometimes asks you to tap the chart (the swing low you would stop under), and can read its lines aloud. Every number it says was measured by the engine, so it cannot invent a price, and it never tells you which way to trade. It stays out of the daily. More on the mentor.
Who we are
We're a team of traders and developers. We wanted a free, easy way to practise trading: reading a chart without knowing the ending, sticking to a plan, and showing up consistently. Blindgrade is that tool. Made in Singapore, public beta since September 2026.
FAQ
Is it real money?
No. Every round is simulated, the daily on a $1,000 balance; nothing can be deposited or withdrawn.
What markets?
Crypto majors today (BTC, ETH, SOL and twelve more on the daily). Forex majors are next, stocks after.
Is the data real?
Yes: real historical candles, 15-minute bars on the daily, with the ticker and dates hidden until the end.
Can I replay a chart I choose?
Yes, with Pro: pick the ticker and the date in practice, or leave either one hidden.
Do I need an account?
Not for the daily. Practice needs a free account.
Is this financial advice?
No. It is a game for practising how you trade, not what to trade.
